Jetta

This is Jetta, one of three dogs whom I pet sit often. The reason I needed a picture of her (and the other two dogs) was because I plan to give a framed picture of the three of them (3 pictures, 1 frame) to their owners as a "thank you" for letting me petsit them so often. They're really fun dogs to be around. This isn't actually the picture I'm giving them, I don't think, but it is a little more artsy than the other one, which is a very straightforward portrait.

Though I really like Jetta now, I didn't always. I'm the opposite of most people... I can be around any big dog without fear, but I'm terrified of really little dogs. If they bark too loudly I'll jump, and if they act fierce I'll back away. I can't seem to help it... The same thing happens with cats.

Jetta didn't like me much the first time we met. She doesn't like strangers in general, really. As we've gotten to know eachother, though, she is liking me more and more. This has a lot to do with my feeding her, I think, but now she'll sit in my lap and likes to be around me just to pass the time. It's pretty cool. Of little dog breeds dachshunds are one of my favorite now.
